Everybody claims that they’re tired of the radio. Every year there is a new proclamation about the demise of hip hop. No one cares for its influence on our children, on our society or on our image as a people. But, no one does anything about it! So, I’ll say it, “We don’t believe you!” Either you’re really not tired of the status quo and you’re secretly rocking lil ‘Wayne and Waka Flocka behind closed car doors or you’re just being lazy.
You’ve got great kids. They’re beautiful, smart, talented. They talk to you and they like you. Here’s the rub - they’re not yet teenagers! But that’s great because that means you still have a chance! Their friends haven’t taken over, you can still control (somewhat) what they watch on television or listen to on the radio. Mom, Dad, now is your time!
